Product FAQ

How is a PV MCB different from an ordinary MCB?

PV MCB is designed for the DC side of a photovoltaic system and has a higher rated voltage and breaking capacity, while ordinary MCBs have lower ratings.

Compared with DC fuses, PV MCBs are small in size, low in cost, highly reliable, and have higher voltage and breaking capacity.

PV MCB uses a thermal magnetic tripping mechanism to prevent overloads through thermal effects and quickly cut off short-circuit currents through electromagnetic effects to protect line and equipment safety.

It is necessary to comprehensively consider the system’s voltage level, short-circuit current, number of loops and other parameters, and reserve a certain margin. It is recommended to consult a professional to assist in the selection.

During installation, a ventilated and dry place should be selected to avoid direct sunlight and rain. When wiring, ensure that the polarity is correct and do a good job of waterproof sealing.
